The university, through the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, contributes to the training of professionals and carries out research studies and technical assistance in different areas of aqueous processes applied to extractive metallurgy (copper hydrometallurgy, gold and electrolytic refineries), as well as as in mineral processing (geometallurgy, comminution, flotation grinding).
Considering the projection of their mutual interests in the different challenges that arise in metallurgical mining operations, motivated by changes in the geometallurgy of the deposits, the parties agree to maintain a relationship of mutual collaboration in technical assistance in the aforementioned areas.
